Why all the apologies for jump stitches? Clearly, if a design is simple and plain, jump stitches can nearly be avoided. However, if there is detail, and I like detail, it requires layering, thread changes, and jump stitches. When turning my paintings into embroidery thread art, my concern is the look of the final design. I certainly am not going to compromise a design attempting to run a thread where it should not go in order to avoid a jump stitch. While I attempt to minimize jump stitches, I certainly am not going to apologize for jump stitches. My only concern is that the final outcome be beautiful and adorable.
